These oven baked potato wedges make a great side dish to any main meal. The seasoning complements the mild potato flavor and the oven roasting gives the potato wedges an irresistible texture and bite.
Potatoes are one of the most versatile foods in terms of how you can cook them and how you can serve them. They can be baked, mashed, sauteed, fried, roasted, boiled, you name it.
And if you’re like any of the millions of potato lovers out there, cravings are real. These oven baked potato wedges are a very easy way to get that potato craving met.
This post is about how to make oven baked potato wedges.
To make this recipe, you will need:
First, wash and scrub the potatoes. We will keep the skin on for this recipe as it contains most of the nutrients and it will roast nicely in the oven.
Next, cut the potatoes in half, lengthwise. Then cut each half into 3-4 wedges.
Put the potato wedges in a bowl and drizzle them with olive oil.
Mix together the seasoning in a bowl and pour it over the potatoes.
Stir it all together.
Prep a large baking sheet with cooking spray or parchment paper.
Spread the potatoes in one layer on the baking sheet. Be sure they are not overlapping because this will affect how the potato roasts.
Bake it in the oven at 425°F for about 30-40 minutes. At this time, toss the potatoes so that the bottoms do not burn and other sides of the potato can roast.
Put it back in the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are tender and golden brown.
Serve the potato wedges with sour cream, ketchup, or a mix of equal parts ketchup and mayo (like in the photo).
Serve warm alongside any other dish to make a meal.
These potatoes can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days. Note that the texture will vary from when they are made fresh. Consider reheating them in the oven for the best results.
