Baked hamburger patties are the easy way to make hamburgers with the least amount of effort.
This no-fuss method to making baked hamburger patties comes in handy as a simple weeknight meal when we’re craving burgers but don’t want to go through the hassle of grilling or frying.
There are definitely those nights where “the least amount of effort” is all I can muster up for dinner and these oven baked hamburgers get the job done. No need to heat up the grill or deal with messy oil splatters on the stovetop. Just prep some toppings while the patties are baking and dinner will be ready in less than 20 minutes!
This post is about how to make baked hamburger patties.
You will need:
First, preheat the oven to 400°F.
Every pound of ground beef makes about four patties. With the ground beef, make four equally sized balls. Flatten each ball with your hand or a flat bottomed bowl. Generously season each patty with salt and pepper.
Next, spray a baking pan with cooking spray or line it with aluminum foil. Here, you can put the patties right onto the baking pan or you can set them on an oven-safe cooling rack then bake. Both methods will yield great results. As you can see, I doubled the recipe to make 8 patties.
Bake the patties for 15 minutes at 400°F. And you’re done! Now, all you need to do is dress up the hamburgers to your liking and enjoy!

This recipe was a life saver. I had ground beef but didn’t have gas for the grill. Thankfully I came across your post. I followed all the instructions except I added steak seasoning to the patties. Everyone was happy with their oven baked hamburgers tonight. We will surely make these again soon.
Hi Annabelle, so glad to hear it worked out great for you. Thank you for sharing!
