This balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing is easy to make, tastes great, and is the perfect accompaniment to salads, sandwiches, and more.
We love a good balsamic vinaigrette in my house, that’s why I decided to make my own! This balsamic vinegar and olive oil dressing is the most used dressing in my household. We have it with almost every salad at most every meal. My husband even dresses his sliced cucumbers and tomatoes with it.
It gives the tanginess you’d expect from a balsamic dressing to elevate the flavor profile of anything it’s topped off with. I love adding it to a simple turkey sandwich too to add a snappiness to each bite. Or dress this Strawberry Goat Cheese Salad with Slivered Almonds and Dates with it and enjoy an irresistible sweet and tangy number.
This recipe has a runny consistency but if you want a thick and creamier balsamic vinaigrette, try this dressing.

Conversely, you can put all of the ingredients (including the olive oil) in a small jar with a tight lid and shake vigorously to combine the dressing.
And that’s it! Transfer the dressing to a container or jar with a lid and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

I always used store-bought balsamic dressing until I decided to make my own. This recipe tasted better than the bottled stuff. Will be making my own from here on out.
Thank you for the kind words, Demetria!
