It’s so easy to make and it smells amazing! I love the pumpkin spice aroma it gives off – that’s actually my favorite part of the cooking process 🙂 It definitely takes the place of lighting up a pumpkin pie candle.
This pumpkin oatmeal is the perfect feel-good Fall breakfast so let’s get started!
This post is about how to make the perfect pumpkin spice oatmeal.
To make this pumpkin oatmeal, you will need:
In a small to medium-sized pot, bring the oatmeal and milk to a simmer over medium heat.
Once simmering, stir in the pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, maple syrup, vanilla extract and salt.
Cook until the ingredients are all incorporated and the oatmeal is softened but still holds texture.
Serve warm on its own or with toppings like walnuts, pecans, slivered almonds, dates, raisins, cranberries, apples, bananas, more milk, or cinnamon. Yum!
