Once you make this easy mango salsa, you will be hooked! It has the perfect combination of sweet mango chunks, creamy avocado bites, and fresh tangy lime juice that work together to make every ingredient shine.
The ingredients in this salsa are few but intentional. The mango is the focal point and the other ingredients complement it.
I’ve intentionally omitted tomatoes and bell peppers from this recipe because, to be blunt, it’s not needed. The fresh, sweet, tangy bite of this salsa is perfect just as it is.
And to be honest, you may want to double or even triple the serving size because I could have devoured this bowl just by myself!
This post is about how to make the best easy mango salsa.
To make this recipe, you will need:
The steps are simple and straightforward. Firstly, chop all of the ingredients. Combine them in a bowl, squeeze fresh lime juice on top and stir together.
That’s it! Mango salsa tastes amazing on it’s own, with chips, on grilled chicken, on fish like this Simple Pan Seared Salmon Recipe, or fish tacos like these Pan Seared Fish Tacos With Mango Salsa.
You can most definitely chop up the mango, onion, and cilantro ahead of time and store it in a container in the refrigerator. When you are ready to serve the salsa, then cut up and add the avocado and lime juice just before serving.
This salsa tastes great freshly made, but if you have any leftovers, you can store it in an airtight container for up to a day or two in the refrigerator. This will run the risk of the avocado browning but the lime juice in the salsa should help prevent that from happening.
