This maple mustard dressing is the perfect blend of sweet, tangy, and yummy, making it the perfect accompaniment to so many salads.
I love salads which is why I love having a bank of good salad dressings and this maple mustard dressing is one of those that are easy to make and taste great!
This maple vinaigrette is sweet, tangy, and adds a flavorful punch to any salad. I especially love pairing this dressing with my chicken harvest salad (as pictured).
Add this super simple dressing to your arsenal of yummy dressings and you won’t be disappointed.
This post is about how to make an easy and flavorful maple mustard dressing.
You will need:
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, mustard, vinegar, and salt.
Then, whisk in the olive oil in a slow and steady stream until the vinaigrette emulsifies and combines.
Add the shallot slices to the dressing and allow the dressing some time to absorb the flavor of the shallots. This can be just an hour or it can be done overnight and then the shallot slices can be removed the following day. But don’t fret if you need to use the dressing right away because you can definitely still enjoy the dressing as is without the addition of the shallot (the dressing just won’t have the deeper note to it).
Another way to prepare this dressing is to put all of the ingredients in a small jar, secure the lid and shake vigorously until all the ingredients combine.
This recipe makes close to one cup of dressing so there’s a good chance you will have some left over. Store the dressing in an airtight container or jar, in the refrigerator, for up to 2 weeks.
