Ingredients
¼cupmaple syrup
2tablespoonsdijon mustard
⅓cupapple cider vinegar
¼cupextra virgin olive oil
pinch of salt
½shallotsliced
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, mustard, vinegar, and salt.
Next, slowly pour the olive oil in the mixture while whisking rapidly until the vinaigrette emulsifies and combines.Alternatively, you can put all of the ingredients in a small jar with a lid and shake vigorously until combined.
Add the slices of shallots to the dressing and let it sit overnight in the refrigerator in an airtight jar. Remove the shallot slices from the dressing the following day. Note: You can use the dressing without the shallots as well if you need the dressing right away. It still tastes great, it just won't have the shallot's additional flavor profile.
Enjoy!
