Indulge in this pumpkin chai latte made with pure pumpkin puree, the best pumpkin spice mix, hot milk, and black tea!
When Fall rolls around, I want anything and everything pumpkin flavor. It’s one of the popular traditions of the season and one I love to participate in. Like with this chai latte. I mean, the rest of the year I am A-Ok with a cup of my usual and delicious chai latte, but in the Fall, I change it up. It’s hard not to when almost every coffee shop advertises its fall flavors. So I set out on making my own concoction, and I gotta say, it’s sip-worthy and definitely gives coffee and tea shops a run for their money.
This post is about how to make the best pumpkin chai latte.
To make this recipe, you will need:
First, boil a half cup of water, add two tea bags to it and let it seep.
Separately, in a medium saucepan on medium to medium-high heat, add the milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin spice, vanilla, and sugar. Whisk to combine the ingredients and bring it to an almost boil (steaming hot).
Squeeze out any remaining liquid from the tea bags by pressing them against the side of the cup with the back of a spoon. Discard the tea bags and add the black tea to the saucepan. Stir to combine.
Once the milk is frothy and hot, it’s done. Pour into cups.
Top with freshly-made whipped cream, if desired. Sprinkle with cinnamon or pumpkin spice and serve.
