These delicious shrimp tacos with cilantro lime sauce have it all: seared to perfection cajun shrimp, creamy cilantro dressing, crunchy cabbage, and a savory touch of cotija cheese.
Why not change up fish taco Tuesday for shrimp tacos with this fresh and creamy version of a shrimp taco? Come to think of it, this taco would work for any day of the week considering shrimp cooks so quickly.
Once the cilantro lime sauce is made, which takes about 5 minutes, and the shrimp is cooked, which also takes all of about 5 minutes, the assembly of this shrimp taco is straightforward and simple, making dinner ready in under 25 minutes!
This post is about how to make shrimp tacos with cilantro lime sauce.
To make this recipe, you will need:
First, make the cilantro-lime sauce by blending all of the ingredients together in a food processor until smooth. Set it aside. You can refer to this post for the detailed instructions: Creamy Cilantro Lime Sauce.
Now that we have all of the ingredients ready, it’s time to assemble the taco.
Another option for assembly would be to spread the cilantro lime sauce on the tortilla first, and then layer on the shrimp and cabbage.
Then, enjoy the creamy, crunchy, savory goodness that lies ahead!

Delicious. Easy to prepare. Such a nice change from making regular tacos. I really like incorporating fish and seafood into my meals. I used romaine lettuce instead of the cabbage and I did add the optional cumin. Husband is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, while I am way more food-adventurous. He loved these. I will definitely be making these again.
Hi Ann, oh, I love that! Thank you for sharing!
