The best simple chicken teriyaki recipe is easy to make and has all the right flavors to fill that teriyaki craving! Made with tender chicken chunks and a go-to teriyaki sauce, this dish will surely become a delectable weeknight staple!
There is something about teriyaki that makes it addicting. I think it’s a combination of its sweet and savory notes compiled with its versatility in uses with meat, chicken, fish, vegetables, noodles, and rice. There are few sauces that have the kind of range that teriyaki does.
One of my favorite ways to serve it though is with chicken. We start by mixing together our quintessential teriyaki sauce, browning the chicken, then combining the two to make an irresistible meal.
This post is about how to make a simple chicken teriyaki recipe.
To make this recipe, you will need:
Sprinkle the chicken teriyaki with sesame seeds and chopped scallions if you would like.
Doesn’t it look delectable?!
If you would like to add a vegetable to the dish, simply steam some fresh or frozen broccoli and mix it in with the chicken.
To steam broccoli, put the broccoli in a steamer basket or directly in a pot with water with the lid on and steam for just a few minutes until the broccoli is tender.
To make it a meal, serve the chicken teriyaki with noodles, rice, or steamed vegetables.
