Ingredients
2 ½poundschicken thighs or breastcut into 1½-2 inch chunks
½cupyogurt
3clovesgarlic
2tablespoonsfresh lemon juice
1 ¼teaspoonssalt
½teaspoonblack pepper
1teaspoonturmeric
Instructions
Make the marinade by mixing the yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, and spices in a bowl (all of the ingredients except for the chicken).
Cut the chicken in about 1 ½-2 inch chunks and add the marinade. Mix to evenly distribute the marinade. Put it in the refrigerator and let it marinate for at least 8 hours or overnight.
When you're ready to grill, skewer the chicken chunks on metal or wooden skewers.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If your grilling grates are prone to sticking, grease it before starting the grill.Grill the chicken kabobs until golden brown and cooked through. Occasionally turn the skewers to ensure all sides cook evenly, about 15 minutes.Transfer the kabobs to a platter and serve. Enjoy!
Notes
If you decide to grill some vegetables alongside the chicken kebab, be sure to skewer them separately on their own skewers and grill them. This is because vegetables and chicken cook at different rates. If they're on the same skewer, the vegetables will likely burn before the chicken is cooked all the way through.
