Notes
Can I make any substitutions?
Yes! You can make substitutions for most of the ingredients. For instance:
Cucumber: You can substitute an English or American cucumber for the Mediterranean cucumber if you don't have one or you cannot find one in your local market. Just be sure to grate enough to make about a 1/2 cup.
Garlic salt: Feel free to substitute the garlic salt for one clove of fresh garlic (minced) and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
Mint: If you do not have fresh mint on hand, you can use 2 teaspoons of dried mint instead.
How do I store cucumber yogurt sauce?
Store any leftover tzatziki sauce in an airtight container like a jar and place it in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to 5 days.
